Jaro and his bike are now in Chile....

Just a 15 km ride from Valdivia, the ferry departs every two hours from Niebla to Corral.
The 20 minute ferry trip is just CLP 700 for pedestrians and bikers (that is about $1.50) each way.

Not too much traffic - this road is from Corral, which is a fairly isolated community  - reached mostly just by ferry boat (there is a long dirt road from the highway in the east, but the ferry is the quicker access).

 This is a conveyor belt for loading ships with wood chips.

Really enjoy being away from the rather heavy traffic of Valdivia.

There are islands in the bay but Corral is on mainland - it is just across the bay.
